What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. [& on my blog!]

Veegas! When we got closer to the strip, i thought that vegas was small. But actually it isn't. The strip at day looks kind of sad, so my friends and me decided to go to madame tussauds friday morning, after we had been to the hard rock cafe with the whole group the night before and sophia and me watching the pirate show outside of a hotel. madame tussauds was awesome; we had so much fun taking pictures and joking around. later on, we went shopping at the ceasars mall, a hugh mall with 200 shops and restaurants. after having lunch and a 30 minute walk, we were at the fashionmall. When i first saw the mall, i was a little bit dissapointet, because i could only see like 20 shops, half of it restaurants, but when we got inside it was so gigantic, that we lost each other :D the rest of the day we spend on shopping, walking around and hanging around in our room, because we were so tired ( but actually we went sleeping at 2 in the morning! )
On saturday we went to the grand canyon. 4 hours we had to drive there, and back also. The grand canyon was pretty awesome. on the way back the bus was soo cold and we were tired. when we reached the strip, we felt like it was one in the morning, although it was only 6 in the evening. We went back to the hotel, relaxed for a while and then went to see new york new york. We met with some guys from our group, but because they just wanted to hang out at the kids casinos, we seperated already after one hour and went to starbucks. with coffe in our hands and new energie we walked down the strip to the the bellagio, because we all were exited to see the watershow, which is also shown at the end of the movie, oceans eleven. It was one of the most beautiful things we have ever seen.
On sunday was only the the bustrip back to california. we were all sleeping and a lot of ous got sick, because of the air condition in the bus.
All in all las vegas was amazing and i would do the trip always again. We had so much fun and the casinos were awesome! Las Vegas, is after New York my favourite city in america now!

Gastfamilie. gewechselt.

sooo es gibt neues hier von der westküste!
ich habe heute meine gastfamilie gewechselt. nein es lag nicht daran, dass ich nicht mit ihnen ausgekommen bin, sondern daran, dass mein gastvater leider seinen job verloren hat und das dann alles nicht mehr geklappt hat. ich habe dann montag angefangen eine neue familie zu suchen zusammen mit einer coordiantorin von der schule und meiner iec und donnerstag abend kam dann endlich die gute nachricht: ich würde sonntag bei einer alleinstehenden frau mit zwei hunden einziehen, dich ich auch schon kannte vom challenge day, und heute bin ich hier eingezogen und super glücklich! die hunde sind super süß, sie ist total nett, das haus ist wunderschön und auf das kochen/essen freue ich mich auch schon. trotzdem war der abschied von meiner gastfamilie nicht einfach, vor allem chase hat mir das alles sehr schwer gemacht :(
ich werde bald wieder schreiben und dann berichten wie es hier so läuft!
