Yes, I'm still alive! & I still love California

wow. I'm already here for 3 month now! Sorry for nor writing in the last weeks.

Es ist eine menge passiert. Erstmal zum Beach Camp out vor ein paar wochen.
With about 150 exchange students we met at Pismo beach, to camp out the whole weekend. I was there at 2. At about 6 everyone was there. They came with bus, train, car. Some people had to drive only 20 minutes, some were more than 6 hours on their way. Our biggest problem was the tent, one for 8-10 people, because no one knew how to pitch it. The campside was only a few minutes walking to the beach and about 20 minutes to Pismo. In the evening our IEC's made a bonfire and hot dogs. The next day I had to get up early, because at 8.30 we went horseback riding in the dunes and at the beach. It was amazing, even I was a little bit scared in the beginning :D
At 10.30 I was back and then straight went to pismo, because there we would learn how to surf and I was pretty exited about. First we got our surfsuits and then an instruction. Everybody thought it would be easy, but when we were in the water we had to find out that it wasn't. The difficult thing was to catch a wave, but to stand up on the surfbord, which was double lenght of our body. After a time some were able to get up and after an hour everybody had made it. We had two more hours to exercise and we had a lot of fun. At the end of the day I was a little bit sunburned, but it was the best exeperience ever. On sunday we had to say goodbye to the new friends, we made, and it was kind of really sad. Later the day I went to BambooGarden, a chinese reastaurant, and then shopping with Sophia.

School is really cool here. I was a little bit shocked, when a history teacher asked me, if Germany is still divided in two pieces. A girl asked my if I came by car or by plain. And no one really knows were Düsseldorf is. :D
Vor ein paar wochen hatten wir challenge day ( who doesn't know what it is, siehe mtv - if you really knew me ) und ich denke es hat eine ganze menge gebracht, weil deren Cliquen tradition schon viel mehr ausgeprägt ist als bei uns in deutschland & alle haben geweint als sie die Storys von manchen gehört haben, weil die normaler weise ganz cool sind, und aber eigentlich nur ein ziemlich trauriges und schwieriges leben hinter sich haben.

Tomorrow is Ralley day, also 2 stunden voller ralleys :)
Heute wurden die ersten Wahlzettel für Homecoming king und gueen angenommen. Soo was habe ich noch nie erlebt. Alle Mädels die sich beworben haben, haben Reden vorgetragen, und es wurde eine menge verteilt, um die leute für einen zu gewinnen: Cake, T-shirts, crowns etc
&& saturday is the day everyone was waiting for: HOMECOMING !
Ich freu mich schon super drauf und natürlich werden auch jede Menge Bilder hochgeladen :)
Ich habe mir ein wunderschönes schwarzes knielanges one-shoulder Kleid gekauft! Ein Traum!
Ich werde zusammen mit meinem Freundinnen und einer Austauschschülerin aus Vietnam, mit der ich mich super verstehe, hingehen. Ein schultanz ist hier was gaanz anderes als bei uns: alle kaufen sich teure Kleider, gehen vorher zum friseur und reden schon Wochen vorher darüber!
Und nächsten Sonntag ist halloween, ein noch viel viel größeres Fest. ALLE verkleiden sich und es gibt das bekannte trick&treat, worauf ich mich schon besonders freue. mein kostüm? das hab ich noch nicht, aber ich muss das langsam mal machen :D

Naaja ich geh mal schlafen. Ich berichte euch über homecoming dann am sonntag ganz ausfürhlich & lade pics hoch!
